Our client bought this cottage at auction and had grand plans for renovation.
The cottage was over 100 years old and structural engineers recommended that some fundamental structural repairs were essential. The client knew PJB Construction and asked them to do all of this initial work. The important thing was to ensure strict building quality whilst retaining a sympathy for the local environment and keeping the integrity of the beautiful old cottage.
The work required new roof timbers, plus steel supports as specified by structural engineers. Tiles were removed carefully and re-used to ensure the final finish was harmonious.
Retaining integrity of the aesthetics of the building. Co-ordinating activity around delivery of steel supports.
